Kinnections Community Wellness
Kinnections Community Wellness is a division of the Family Solutions Group, and is made possible through partnership with fellow Family Solutions Group agencies such as: Kells Counselling and Crossroads Family Services.
Family Solutions Group is a group of agencies that are dedicated to making wellness possible in our communities. Kinnections works closely with Family Solutions Group to deliver services that are responsive and tailored to the individual needs of families and children who are struggling to manage day to day challenges.
The Family Solutions Group originally had its start out of Kells, a Psychological Counselling Agency, and then added our foster care agency, Crossroads. In 2018 we expanded to include the Kinnections program, which provides services to children, youth, and adults with disabilities and their families.
As our agency group grew, so did our reach, and we expanded to serve not only the greater Edmonton Region but also Northern and Central Alberta families. With the advances in virtual service delivery, Family Solutions Group agencies now serve individuals, families, and children throughout Alberta. In fact, some of our courses and programs are being accessed by families from other provinces as well!
Kinnections Community Care programs provide Personal Care Services, Elder Care Services, and Respite. Our Community Wellness Services are available to children and adults with extra–or extraordinary–needs.
Kinnections Family Development programs are targeted to support caregivers of children with high needs.
Solutions Payroll Services provides administrative support to help families to ensure timely, accurate payroll documentation for the staff providing services for your family member.
Land Acknowledgement
We respectfully acknowledge that we are located on Treaty 6 territory, a traditional gathering place for diverse Indigenous peoples including the Cree, Blackfoot, Metis, Nakota Sioux, Iroquois, Dene, Ojibway and Saulteaux (Anishinaabe), Inuit, and many others whose histories, languages, and cultures continue to influence our vibrant community.
Our Services
Kinnect Family Program
Divided into BDS Parent Coaching and the Kinnect Intensive Program, the Kinnect Family Program supports families and youth with complex needs and big behaviours to manage their behaviours and emotions and function effectively.
Kinnections Respite Program
The Kinnections Respite Program provides short-term respite to families of kids, teens, adults, and seniors with disabilities or high needs.
Personal Care
Some adults simply require a little extra support to remain living independently. Crossroads Respite Home Care provide adults with light housekeeping, meal preparation, lawn care, and companionship.
